I went to Skelleftea to see my wonderful friend Karin, who lives with her husband Lars and their children Diana, Lisa and Niklas.
On my first morning there, they sang Santa Lucia to me and brought me breakfast in bed...
The next day we went to visit Karin's sister, Elizabeth and her husband Olle and
their son Victor. They live out in the country so we also went to get our
Christmas tree...
We took the snowmobile as far as we could to a good place for cutting trees
(under the powerlines) but then we had to go on foot...
we found a good tree
and I chopped it down...
Then we had a wonderful lunch
Here we all are, Olle, Elizabeth, Lisa, Niklas, Diana, Lars, Karin and
Victor in the front!
That night back in Skelleftea, we walked to the Ice Church ...Niklas and Lisa
made snow angels along the way...
Then it was time to come back a decorate the Christmas tree.

I also visited the school where the children attend classes and got to meet
both classes...Since Lisa and Niklas are twin they are is the same class...can
you find them?
I also visited Diana's class. These students spoke excellent English and I had a
great time talking with them. They sang a most beautiful Christmas carol
for me called "Nu Tändas Tusen
Juleljus" . The song was so beautiful and the singing so
lovely that I have learned the song in English now. Their teacher, Tio
(and I hope I'm spelling that correctly) played guitar as the children
sang . I promised them a place on my web site and here they are:
